The Icelandic Financial Supervisory Authority (FME) granted MP Bank hf. a commercial banking license on October 10, 2008. The license was initially granted to December 31, 2008.
After granting the commercial banking license, FME has been communicating with MP Bank and requested further financial information regarding MP Bank.
After reviewing and evaluating the information, FME has decided to approve the continuity of the commercial banking license of MP Bank.
MP Investment Bank was incorporated in 1999, was granted an investment banking license from 2004 and received a commercial banking license in October 2008
